A year ago we were just Paul. And Tiff. We were individuals creating in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Paul was serving as Creative Director at the social marketing firm, 17 Triggers. And Tiff was one half of Cait+Tiff, and spent the rest of her non-blog time as a communications advisor, design consultant and freelance photographer. In a past life she even worked in public health for a big giant organization. We’ve worn a variety of hats, but at the end of the day, we wanted to focus on one thing:
Helping photographers thrive in Phnom Penh.
By providing a high quality and fully equipped studio space, we hope to stimulate community and collaboration.
And that’s how The StudioKH came to be. Oh right, and our pal Corbett also had a vision for a creative community to be housed in an abandoned garment factory.
The StudioKH is located at The Factory, just a couple of minutes south of the Monivong Bridge on National Road 2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We are a creator studio, we offer not just one, but two client centered and high quality photography studios for rent, and we’re also both creators ourselves.
Paul is a seasoned designer with over 16 years of experience working in above the line advertising, digital media, activation, sales promotion and direct marketing. Tiff started out pursuing a career in public health, but realized her passions lay in telling stories through words and photographs. For the past 3 years she has worked in Phnom Penh as a writer, communications advisor and photographer.
We’ve loosely known each other for the last couple of years. Friends of friends. That sort of thing. And sometime in the middle of 2017, Paul sent Tiff a message.
“Interested in a joint venture?”
Eighteen months later, we completed construction on The StudioKH. Our space is coming together. When the very talented creative community isn’t renting out our space, we’re working together on some very cool projects.
